Cetera Financial group claims to have poached two wealth management practices of Avantax investment services.
Founded by Steven wilson in 1985, based in Tulsa, Oklahoma Oklahoma’s First Advisory Group provides tax and wealth management services to individuals, families and business owners, overseeing nearly $ 240 million, according to Cetera.
Meanwhile, West Jordan, based in Utah Dahle Financial Services, operated by the father-son team Guillaume Dahle III and Aaron Dahle, provides tax and financial planning services and has approximately $ 110 million in client assets, according to Cetera.
First Oklahoma and Dahle team join Farpointe patrimonial partners, an independent financial advisory firm on the Cetera network, according to the company.
Wilson and William Dahle had both been affiliated with Avantax since the start of their career in the financial services industry in 1994, according to BrokerCheck.
Aaron Dahle joined the industry in 2007, registering with Avantax.
Wilson said in a statement that his team chose Cetera and Farpointe because they were looking for “a team that shares the same vision and the same values.”
William Dahle said in a statement that his team joined Farpointe because they “appreciate having a voice, meaningful support and peer-to-peer collaboration.”
This summer, Farpointe also added a $ 210 million wealth management firm in Louisiana as well as a $ 250 million firm in Los Angeles.
The most recent additions mark the eighth and ninth firms to join Farpointe in nine months, Cetera says. So far in 2021, Farpointe has added practices with cumulative assets of over $ 1 billion, according to Cetera.
