Sheldon, Iowa— Financial advisor Trevor Gottula of the financial services firm Edward Jones in Sheldon has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP Board) to use the CFP® certification mark.
Gottula passed the CFP Board’s initial certification requirements, which include completing financial planning courses and passing a comprehensive exam.
Individuals who hold the CFP® certification must agree to meet the continuing education requirements and abide by the Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and Standards of Practice for Financial Planning.
This advanced training provides investment professionals with the practical information needed to provide comprehensive financial services. Topics of study include the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and benefits, and estate planning.
