Borussia Dortmund publish financial statements as Man City confirm Erling Haaland transfer


Borussia Dortmund have confirmed Erling Haaland’s transfer to Manchester City in a financial update published on their website.

City confirmed the signing of Haaland on Tuesday in a brief statement, confirming that they have reached an agreement in principle with Dortmund for Haaland to move to the Etihad on July 1, subject to finalizing terms with the Norwegian striker . City are believed to have triggered Haaland’s €60m release clause, which equates to around £51m.

Meanwhile, Dortmund have posted an official update on their own website, noting that the transfer will give them a ‘positive effect’ for the 2022/23 financial year.

Their statement read: “Player Erling Haaland (“Player”) is set to transfer from Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA (“BVB”) to Manchester City Football Club Limited (“Manchester City”). All parties agreed on the basics of this today.
