Today, Sling Media made available the SlingPlayer for Mac OS X client. An application that Mac users have anticipated for months, the 1.01.104 BETA is very similar to the current Windows version. As is common for BETAs, a few features are not yet active including no downloadable skins, Windows favorites are not compatible, player may hang if you press stop during locating mode, and some others. In our first look, the Mac appears similar, if not a bit smoother than the Windows version. Performance is good and worth the download if you have a SlingBox and a Mac.
