Akimbo Delivers Movie Downloads from MovieLink |

 Akimbo, the video-on-demand service is partnering with MovieLink to give you movie downloads ranging from $0.99 to $4.99. While this makes the the $199 Akimbo set-top box interesting, we think that unless it delivers DVD-quality and better, it will be a tough road for MovieLink and Akimbo. The Akimbo box has component video output, but does not include HD digital outputs such as HDMI or DVI. With those specs, DVD-quality and more is possible. MovieLink has a pretty solid movie collection and our experience using it on PCs has been good. We'll keep watching Akimbo and hope to review their set-top soon.
