CEDIA 2006: Wrap-Up PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 20 September 2006

CEDIAOur CEDIA 2006 show coverage is now complete. In the coming weeks, we'll provide detailed reviews on the most interesting products we saw there. The CEDIA Expo in Denver is the trade show for custom home theater, audio, video and residential electronic systems professionals. To us, it's good prep for CES, the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this January. CEDIA caters to the custom installer, and it did a phenomenal job of it, while CES caters to the buying public and is the world's largest consumer technology trade show.

While at CEDIA, we saw some pretty cool products worthy of indepth reviews (remote controls, receivers, projectors, LCD panels and networking devices); for TechDigs.net, the most exciting thing about CEDIA is that we saw plenty of technology that has historically been geared towards the custom installer market that has now become mainstream. Home automation and front projection systems are examples. The Z-Wave automation standard, on which Logitech bases its higher-end consumer remote control products, is a cost-effective strategy that many home owners will want to invest in and can implement themselves. We hope you enjoyed our CEDIA coverage . Look for much more coverage and products from CES in January 2007.
