Panasonic recently launched the PT-AX100U 1280x720 HDTV 3-LCD panel projector. We took a brief look at this projector in both a light and dark environment. Panasonic has included a technology they call Light Harmonizing. Light Harmonizing automatically adjusts the brightness and contrast (gamma) of the projector based on the both the ambient light in the room and the brightness of the source. With 2,000 lumens, the result is a projector that appears to work quite well in a naturally lit room -- so, not just a projector for the dedicated home theater. With all the standard video inputs including HDMI, a back-lit remote and a MSRP of $2,999; this unit is capable of projecting 40" to 200" and is a competitively priced performer.
