Sharp came to CEDIA loaded. Their dual-HDMI input flat panel HDTVs include the 42" (LC-42D62U), 46" (LC-46D62U) and 52" LC-52D62U models and come from Sharp's new 8th generation LCD plant. While the specifications of 2000:1 native contrast ratio, 10000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 4ms response time, 176-degree viewing angle and 1920x1080p resolution are impressive, you simply have to see them! As much as we look forward to reviewing one in the coming months as they become available, if you are in the market for a new 42", 46" or 52" flat panel, you may want to wait until you've seen one of these. Oh yeah, and the price, MSRP: 42" ($2,499.99), 46" ($3,499.99) and 52" ($4,799.99). Street prices will likely be lower when they become available in October. In case you don't know, these are smokin' prices. Sharp's being very aggressive in the LCD market.
